Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum age that needs a ticket?
Children 5 and under are free and do not require a ticket. There is, however, a free children's general admission ticket that can be accessed on I-Tickets. An adult purchase is not needed to print this ticket. We do encourage this ticket because it helps us to keep an accurate attendance count.
In the case of inclement weather, can I get a refund for my tickets?
No. This is a rain or shine event. However in the case of inclement weather, the alternate location is listed below. Decisions on moving this location will be made during the week leading up to the event as up-to-date weather forecasts become available.
Perry County Multipurpose Building
1194 Highway 15 South
Richton, MS 39476
Can I bring my dog/pet to the concert?
No. Only service dogs are allowed.
What is a VIP ticket?
A VIP ticket includes early entry at 4:00 pm for first choice of seating, a signed poster, a lanyard, a CD from People & Songs, and a Praise in the Park t-shirt. You must arrive and be through the gates before general admission gates open (5:00 pm) to benefit from first choice seating.
When does the event begin and end?
The show begins at 6:00 pm and will end between 9:00 and 10:00 pm.
When is the last day to purchase VIP tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online until the day before the event. All tickets on the day of the event will be General Admission and can be purchased near the gates.
Is there a group rate?
Yes. Groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets at a discounted rate. General Admission tickets were priced with families and groups in mind. Our goal was not to make a profit from this event but to make a worship experience accessible in our community.
What happens to the money made from ticket sales and booth fees?
Richton Praise in the Park Inc is a non-profit organization comprised of all volunteer Christian believers from Richton and the surrounding area. Our organization is made up of multi-denominational believers donating their time and efforts to make an impact on our community and region.
No one in the organization or associated with the organization receives a salary or any type of compensation. Money is used to cover this year's expenses, and any money in excess of this is carried over to cover costs of next year's event.
What is the seating like in the park?
The park is an outdoor grassy area. We strongly encourage that you bring lawn chairs. Seating location will be a first-come basis. VIP ticket purchasers will be allowed early entrance into the park at 4:00 pm for first choice of seating, then at 5:00 pm general admission ticket purchasers will be allowed into the park. We do not recommend blankets as your view may be hindered by people seated in front of you in lawn chairs.
Is the park wheelchair accessible?
Yes. It is a flat area and there is a concrete walking path around one side of the venue. Wheelchair accessible bathroom facilities will also be available.
Can I bring food or an ice chest into the park?
No. Food booths will be available in the park serving a wide variety of food and drinks. Check out the 2019 Vendor List on the Vendor tab above.
Why do the gates not open earlier than 5:00 pm (or 4:00 pm for VIP tickets)?
The artists require a sound check in as much privacy as possible. This is necessary to ensure the best possible sound during the event.
Where do I park and is there a parking fee?
Parking will be available on both sides of the park, and all parking is free. Parking in other areas of town may also be available free of charge in case of a large crowd. Please check back closer to the time of the event to view a map of the town for available overflow parking.
What kind of food and drinks will be available?
We generally have around 10-20 vendors that will be selling a variety of food items and drinks. Check out the 2019 Vendors List on the Vendor tab above to see this year's menu options.
Will there be an ATM available onsite at the park?
No. Please be prepared to bring cash with you to the park as some vendors may not have access to credit card processing. Ticket booths and PRAISE 2019 t-shirt booths will be set up to accept credit/debit cards. ATMs are available throughout the town of Richton at the following businesses:
